About Me

Ms. Compitello is a graduate of Deer Park High School.  Having first attended NYU as a music education major, she transferred to Stony Brook University and graduated in 2011 with a combined bachelor's and master's degree.  She holds a bachelor's degree in History and Social Studies Education and a master's degree in History.  After teaching at Elwood Middle School for one year, Ms. Compitello joined Teach for America, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing under-resourced communities with teachers.  She lived in Baltimore, Maryland for four years and taught at the Vivien T. Thomas Medical Arts Academy in West Baltimore.  While teaching in Baltimore, Ms. Compitello earned her second master's degree in Education from the Johns Hopkins University.  In her spare time, Ms. Compitello loves to travel (this past summer she spent 5 weeks in China as a part of the Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad Program), cook, and read.  She's so happy to be a part of the Seaford community!
